DIY Couple Logo

Personally, I have not attended any weddings where the couple had a logo. This could be due to the fact that I have few weddings to attend (almost ALL my close girl friends are single and available).

So when our banquet manager mentioned at one of our meetings that he can use our logo (if we have one) and replicate it on the stage backdrop and the menu place card on each of the table, I was a like "Is that necessary? Isn't that a little Over The Top ??"

So I went home and did a little bit of research and found these

OMG I love them!! But how do I make them?? I recall during my visit to the wedding invite printer in Old Klang Road that the charge to get someone to design it for us is about RM50. While it does sound cheap, is it money well spent? Moreover, who are these designers and where can I find one??

Then one fine day as I was exchanging notes with another Bride (who had her wedding a few months before) and while viewing her wedding photos, I saw her logo on the stage backdrop bearing the exact same initials that we have !!!

I quickly asked her if I can have it and she was more than happy to send me the design and even thought me how to make one myself. It was so easy, I made one within half an hour and which met my fiance's immediate approval!!! I even created one more logo which bears our name for the wedding backdrop.

I then used the logos on my wedding invite and gave a copy of the logos to my banquet manager to replicate on the menu card and stage backdrop.

So here I am sharing this with all you Brides to Be out there these simple steps to make your very own COUPLE LOGO.

(1) google 'vectors' and pictures that you would like to have in your logo (like birds or flowers or butterflies) and download those that you like.

(2) Open microsoft powerpoint program and start on a blank slide. YES! they can be designed using powerpoint !!!

(3) Insert the pictures you like onto the slide.

(4) Insert text box and type your couple initials and play with different fonts, font sizes and colours before you get them right. I recommend that each alphabet has its own text box so that you can rearrange the alphabets wherever you like around the vectors. Remember to save the arrangement by 'grouping' them all together.

(5) Once you are happy with the outcome, save it as JPEG.

CONGRATULATIONS! YOU NOW HAVE A COUPLE LOGO !!

You can create as many logos as you want using different images/vectors and fonts. Take your time before getting it right and deciding on which one suits your theme best.

HAPPY DESIGNING !!!
