Wedding Shoes

This is another headache for many BTBs. 

On one hand, you would like a pair of classic wedding heels that shouts "I AM A BRIDE" like these 

But on the other hand, will you ever wear it again ?? Spending so much money on a pair of heels that you will wear only once or twice (depending on the number of banquets/sessions you have) doesn't seem practical does it? 

So why not choose a pair that can serve as bridal shoes as well as evening shoes ??? The trick to this is to stay away from WHITE. You can't match white shoes with anything but white/off white dresses. And you will only be wearing that colour if you are the bride. So get a pair in silver/gold/champagne colour like these so that you can re-wear them again as evening heels.

If you are more adventurous, get them in BOLD COLOURS like these !! You will definitely wear them again and again cos they are so CHIC !!! 

It is also recommended to get 2 pairs of wedding heels, one as the main pair and another pair for backup. I've seen brides who went scrambling when their one and only pair of wedding heels broke and ended up walking lopsided throughout the banquet. Not a good sight I must say. 

So where to find your wedding heels?? Here is a list of places that I've shortlisted.

Off The Shelves

ALDO I personally love the heights of the heels in ALDO. But it can be pricey though. For a pair of heels suitable for wedding, it costs about RM400++. But it IS ALDO. :). I've been to their outlets in One Utama, Fahrenheit and Bangsar Village II.

BLay I've seen some good looking pairs in the shop in One Utama and they are a cheaper option compared to ALDO. Worth a visit. They should cost less than RM200. Their other outlets are apparently at Paradigm Mall and Ipoh Parade.

GUESS I've seen a few pairs here that are worthy of weddings. Not cheap though as they can go up as high as RM480++. I've been to their outlets at One Utama and Empire Subang.

Charles & Keith Occasionally you will find some nice wedding-ish heels in the shop. So drop by and take a look. They cost about RM180++ onwards. I've been to their outlets in One Utama, Empire Subang, Fahrenheit and Paradigm Mall.

Pedro This may not offer conventional wedding heels, but for those looking for coloured heels i.e suede blue/red, this may sometimes be a surprise. They cost about RM200++. They can normally be found nearby Charles & Keith.

Vincci+ This higher end shop of Vincci offers some nice looking lower heels ones occasionally. I've seen their outlets in Midvalley, Bangsar Village II, KLCC and Pavillion.

Studio @ Tangs Tangs inhousebrand STUDIO is a MUST visit for wedding heels. There are many hidden gems in here. They cost about RM180++ onwards.

Lui Lui @ Isetan Do visit this brand for some lower heels suitable for weddings. 

Lewre I've visited Lewre Couture outlet in The Gardens @ Midvalley before. Their price starts from RM1,000. Shocking right?? You can also custom make your shoes here if you have the budget. 

The White Label This brand can be found at Wedding Isle. The price starts from RM200++.

Oscar Bailey  I've never visited this brand before but I've seen a few pairs online that I do not mind owning. Oscar Bailey's located at The Wedding Hub. The price starts from RM260 onwards. 

Souliers This is also another wedding shoes brand located at The Wedding Hub. The price starts from RM300 onwards.

My Glass Slippers This online shop offers a wide range of designer wedding heels from Badgley Mischka and Stuart Weitzman just to name a few. Highly recommended for those with the budget. 

Zappos This shop offers middle range American brands of wedding heels. Occasionally, you might find a few pairs of designer heels here too. '

Nordstrom This shop offers almost the same brands that are offered in the other 2 shops above. Good to have a few shops to compare prices and also to look for available sizes.

Bellissima Another online shop where you can find MANY designer bridal heels.

Chinese Laundry  This is where beauty queens get their heels to strut down the runway at pageants. It is affordable and the designs are very trendy. I love the heights of these heels. 

Custom Make

Celest Thoi & Valerie Fan These gown designers also custom make wedding heels. If you are engaging them for your gowns, why not request for a pair of heels as well?? I am sure it will come with a discount. :)

That Special Occasion ("TSO") by Kris Wong Just like Valerie and Celest, TSO, like the other gown designers, also custom makes wedding shoes for brides. It is located at Desa Sri Hartamas.  

Kate Mosella This is a fairly new shoe shop operating from Shah Alam. A friend of mine made a pair with her and the quality was very good for the price of RM200. Do check out her facebook and blog.

Raymond Wong This guy has been custom making shoes for brides for a long time. He doesn't have a big set up and is located at Sri Petaling. You can check out some of his shoes here.

Moments Shoes This is a relatively new shop which is also a small set up. Check out some of her shoes here.
